DamaRose’s humble beginnings trace back to 1991, when the first restaurant in Damascus, Syria, opened its doors at Kassa Street.
In the past, we’ve successfully run our restaurant in Damascus. More than just a simple restaurant, DamaRose has taken up residence on upper Heidelberg, in Ivanhoe. The owner “George Hanoun” has made a smart move by setting up a restaurant in Melbourne, the best Mediterranean cuisine. Come try all these Homemade foods, all made with Love at 221 upper Heidelberg, Ivanhoe 3079.DamaRose serves Syrian cuisine which is considered one of the oldest cooking traditions in the world. A hidden gem in Ivanhoe! Dama Rose is a Syrian restaurant that serves delicious and fresh meals! We dined on the banquet menu - a mixture of seafood and meat and it was incredible! The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly, the seafood (fish, calamari and prawns) was a standout!
Everything was fresh and tasty! A family run restaurant where you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s home to be feed meals made with love. I cannot wait to dine here again.

We ordered take out for 2, got a few things to try. Approx $100
The dips where amazing! bread came out still warm
Also tried the Lamb cutlet bbq and vegetable curry.
Everything was really well done. The seasonings are amazing and so flavourful.
Their deserts are also really nice.
Service was excellent for a take out.
Serving sizes are standard if slightly small but it's so worth it.

Visiting Melbourne from Brisbane and managed to find this hidden gem. Absolutely beautiful fresh food cooked from the heart, beautiful service with family vibes. Wish I lived here as I would regularly visit this restaurant. Everything was perfect. Until next time!

What a pleasant surprise we found here. Not only was the food delicious but the service was like that from a family member who loves you with all their heart.
Thank you for going out of your way to provide my vegan friends with complimentary vegan dessert despite not having any available on your menu. Your service was superb indeed and the food was detectable. Can't wait to come back for more. Fave pick - dips with bread straight out of the oven & the custard dessert.
